The Who guitarist Pete Townshend was arrested on suspicion of child porn offences on January 13, 2003, and was later accused of sexual assault and abuse. There is no mention of a conviction, however, the New York Times noted that Townshend was accused of these crimes. The accusations led to a formal police investigation.
