Sean 'Diddy' Combs was indicted in September 2024 on federal charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation for purposes of prostitution. The indictment alleges he coerced and abused victims over decades using his business empire and associates. Over 100 additional civil lawsuits were filed. He pleaded not guilty and awaits trial.

A hotel surveillance video from 2016 released in May 2024 showed Sean Combs physically assaulting singer Cassie Ventura in a hotel hallway. Combs settled a civil lawsuit with Ventura in November 2023. The federal indictment includes additional allegations of physical violence and coercion against multiple victims.
