Dr. Dre has been accused of abuse by multiple women. In 1991, he was convicted of assault after attacking hip-hop journalist Dee Barnes at a party, receiving probation and community service. His former partner Michel'le documented sustained physical abuse in her 2016 biopic 'Surviving Compton.' His ex-wife Nicole Young also accused him of domestic violence in 2020 divorce proceedings. Dre has issued partial apologies.
